Staff Opportunities
There are all sorts of different ways you can get involved with YWAM, everything from short-term outreaches, camps and events to part-time volunteer work or full-time staff commitments. Most people first get involved with YWAM by doing a short-term outreach or a DTS, but if you are over 18 you can apply to join us as a "Mission Builder" (short-term volunteer who hasn't done a DTS) or as a staff member.
We are always on the look out for new staff. Regardless of your age or skills - if you have a passion for Jesus and want to be involved with Christian ministry than YWAM New Zealand would like to help you fulfill your destiny.
The first step to joining YWAM on staff is to complete a Discipleship Training School (DTS), which is the prerequisite to any YWAM staff position. If you haven't completed a DTS you can apply as a part-time volunteer, "Mission Builder" (See below), or enroll for our next DTS (see Training Schools page).
All YWAM staff and Mission Builders are non-remunerated volunteers (i.e. YWAM does not pay salaries). To join YWAM as staff you need to have your own financial backing to cover your living expenses while here. YWAM encourages people to put together a prayer and financial support team (made up of friends, home-groups, churches, relatives, etc.) before they join YWAM.
Some Current Staff opportunities are:

Media/Web/Design
We are always looking for people who have creative skills that want to be a part of expression here in NZ. We'd love to have you involved with pioneering new media that: expresses the love of Christ, influences cultural awareness, missions awareness, empowers Christian community and promotes diversity. We are always looking to create something NEW here in Auckland - if you're interested, please email us. As of right now, we do not possess equipment for creating media - so if you have your own laptop/software/camera and the like - that is preferred.
