Brandon, Karen and SoJung are making their way to Taupo. This is a joyful check-in the 3rd day into faithweek. God has shown himself in many ways to the group and they are looking forward to the rest of the week.

Faithweek Video 1: On the Road (3.5MB)

Brittney, Nela and TK are on the road; but they've run into a little snag. Faithweek always brings testing in many personal areas (usually in patience) and pushes you to the limits of your personal faith (hence, why it's called "Faithweek").

Brittney, Nela and TK are still traveling; but they've run into a little snag (again). Nela had a little "accident" - but, no worries, everything is still in motion as they make their way to Wellington.

About FAITHWEEK:

Faith Week is a challenge we offer to our students on DTS around the first week of their outreach phase. We give each student $20 and send them off in teams with the aim of meeting their team in another NZ location – seeing how far they can get with God’s provision. The purpose of faith week is to continue to learn how to hear God’s voice and to be led by the Holy Spirit and to look for opportunities to minister and serve and share the Gospel to others. It’s an application period where what they’ve learned in the lecture phase meets the pavement in faith being practiced, not just well thought out.

“Faith week was not necessarily a week of horrors, as many would have considered. For the first time in my life, I was to trust God for provision in terms of food and a place of shelter for seven aimless days. To be sent off with only $60 in our group of three was awesome…our journey was fairly easy because we never doubted that God would provide. Although meeting these different people on our journey was a blessing, the greatest blessing was spending time with my team…I couldn’t have asked for a better team. “…faith week really was amazing. We met lots of great people, some who drove a little more crazily, and others who were far more sensible. Some brought us food, others just gave us the ride to where they were headed. Josh and my favorite tale was meeting Kevin our generous bus driver. He offered for our whole group to stay there on our way back up to the North Island… we took him at his word, and our team of eleven stayed with his family on our way through.
