U of N Registration

The DTS is registered with Youth With A Mission’s University of the Nations (UofN) and therefore gains credits towards a University of the Nations degree. The upcoming JDTS will earn you 24 credits with the UofN. For more information on the University of the Nations visit www.uofn.edu

Costs

Approximate costs for the Justice DTS in 2009 are listed below but please email us for more detailed cost information.

Registration: $50 NZD (single) or $75 NZD (couple). This is a non-refundable fee required with each application.

Lecture Phase Fees: approximately $4000.00 NZD (includes GST). This includes lectures expenses, room & board, ministry transportation, administration, classroom resources, etc.

Note (for overseas students) this does NOT include your return airfares to New Zealand to attend the DTS.

Outreach Phase Fees: Outreach costs vary from school to school. The approximate cost of a three-month DTS outreach is $3000.00 to $5500.00 NZD. This depends entirely on the location of the outreach. Fees cover outreach airfares, airport taxes and ground fees (transportation, accommodation, food and GST).

Debrief Week Fees: Approximately $250.00 NZD (transportation, room & board, resources, etc)

Outreach [top]

Each DTS outreach location is determined during the lecture phase by school staff and directors.  DTS staff are committed to seeking God’s heart for the location and focus of the DTS outreach.  We generally target the Pacific Islands, South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, although outreaches can potentially be anywhere in the world.  Other options may be available depending on special events e.g. the Olympic Games.

The Outreach Phase is regarded as a vital part of the training programme.  This is the time when students are really challenged to live out what they have learned.  Lectures, written and practical assignments will be ongoing during the Outreach Phase.
